Cross-Reference Guide: Replacing Amphenol and TE Power Blade Part Numbers

A practical guide to the most commonly requested power blade part numbers and their equivalent JYP series counterparts.

Many design engineers approach power blade connectors through the Amphenol (formerly FCI) and TE Connectivity part numbering systems. This article explains how those numbering systems are structured, and lists the most frequently requested cross-references to our JYP series.

Reading an Amphenol / FCI part number

FCI power blade part numbers typically embed contact count and contact type. For example, 51915-076 indicates a compact 3-power configuration, while 51731-023LF is a higher-density power plus signal configuration. The suffix often indicates plating or housing variant.

Reading a TE part number

TE Connectivity (and legacy Tyco) blade power part numbers follow a similar logic with a different format. Pin pitch of 6.35mm with a signal-plus-power split is common in the mid-range.

Key cross-references

The table below lists frequently requested originals against their JYP equivalents. For part numbers not listed, send us the drawing or the original part number and we will confirm compatibility within one business day.

Note: All cross-references should be verified against the specific datasheet before design-in. Contact resistance, plating thickness and mating cycles may differ between manufacturers.
